Custom Washable Baby Mattress Cover Development
US baby bedding brand Lullaby Earth wanted to develop a breathable and low-allergen baby mattress cover that could better match their washable and safety-focused mattress products. Existing mattress covers on the market often had poor airflow, noticeable odor, or uncomfortable surface touch for infant sleeping environments.

Developing a More Breathable Sleep Surface
To improve airflow around the baby’s sleeping area, we used a customized spacer mesh structure developed by Mefiss Textile, our own spacer mesh fabric factory. The mattress cover combined large and small airflow holes, helping heat and moisture dissipate more efficiently during sleep.

Improving Comfort & Reducing Odor
The customer wanted a softer and cleaner sleeping experience without dyed materials. We used a natural white solution and added a special washing process to reduce the common odor often found in traditional spacer mesh products, while maintaining a soft skin-friendly surface touch.

Upgrading Support Through Structure Optimization
After the first generation product launch, the customer requested improved support and stronger airflow performance. We upgraded the mattress cover structure from 3.5mm thickness to a 7mm spacer mesh version, improving resilience, comfort stability, and overall ventilation performance.

Managing Quality for Premium Baby Products
Because the mattress cover used a white color solution, appearance consistency became extremely important. From fabric inspection to finished product sewing and final quality control, we established detailed SOP production management to ensure stable bulk production quality.
