Developing a Breathable Duck-Shaped Baby Nest
At the 2020 CBME exhibition, Chinese maternity brand Domiamia approached us looking for a newborn nest product that could combine strong visual identity with breathable sleeping comfort. At that time, many newborn nests on the market had similar structures and lacked clear product differentiation.

Creating a More Recognizable Product Shape
To help the product stand out visually, we proposed a duck-shaped newborn nest structure. The surrounding side areas were designed as soft “duck wings,” allowing the product to create a warmer and more comforting sleeping atmosphere for babies.

Improving Breathability Around the Sleeping Area
For the core sleeping zone, we used 10mm thick spacer mesh material to improve airflow and support performance. Mefiss Textile, our own spacer mesh fabric factory, supplied the breathable spacer mesh structure used inside the main sleeping area.

Combining Functional Materials With Original Prints
The sleeping surface used LC mesh Tencel™ fabric to create a softer and more breathable touch feeling. At the same time, the outer cover combined the customer’s original hand-drawn print fabrics with customized logo embroidery details to strengthen brand recognition.

Balancing Softness & Hygiene Performance
The main filling structure used snow ball fiber treated with Swiss Sanitized™ antibacterial and anti-mite processing. The fluffy filling maintained soft rebound comfort while helping improve hygiene performance for newborn daily use.

The duck-shaped baby nest maintained stable sales for over six years and became one of the customer’s long-term recognizable maternity product collections.
