Designing a Multi-Function Soothing Sleep Pad
In 2022, Evoceler approached us hoping to develop a product that could help improve sleep quality for babies aged 0–6 months. At that time, the customer mainly sold soothing toys, speakers, and newborn gift sets, and wanted to expand into sleep comfort products with stronger differentiation.

Combining Multiple Sleep Functions Together
After researching many products on the market, we found that swaddles, weighted blankets, and baby nests usually only solved one problem separately. We therefore proposed a multifunctional soothing sleep pad combining breathable support, wrapping comfort, and calming functions into one structure.

Building a Breathable Support Base
The bottom structure used 2cm thick 3D spacer mesh material to create stable support while maintaining airflow performance. Mefiss Textile, our own spacer mesh fabric factory, supplied the breathable spacer mesh structure to help reduce heat and moisture buildup during baby sleep.

Adding Swaddle & Gentle Pressure Features
Inside the sleeping area, we added an integrated swaddle structure with arm fixing pockets to help reduce newborn startle reflex reactions. Around the outer cover area, a small removable quilt with 30g PE weighted beads was added to simulate gentle hand-pressure comfort.

Improving Daily Use for Parents
The product also included a fully breathable shaping pillow with no raised neck area to reduce suffocation risks. Because the bottom structure had stable 3D spacer mesh support, parents could lift or move sleeping babies more easily without strongly disturbing their sleep state.

What We Achieved
After launch, the soothing sleep pad received strong user feedback for improving both baby and parent sleep quality while maintaining a low after-sales complaint rate.
