Developing a Multi-Layer Adjustable Baby Pillow
At the 2023 CBME China exhibition, premium travel baby brand Hagaday approached us looking for a more breathable and adjustable newborn pillow solution. Compared with traditional memory foam, latex, and pearl cotton pillows, the customer hoped to create a product with stronger airflow, stable rebound support, and adjustable height performance.

A More Breathable Internal Support Structure
Instead of using traditional dense foam fillings, we selected BD2-6N6 through-hole spacer mesh material as the internal support core. Mefiss Textile, our own spacer mesh fabric factory, supplied the breathable mesh structure to improve airflow around the baby’s head area.

Softer Surface With Antibacterial Performance
For the baby contact area, we used our customized Mes-tio Shield™ antibacterial mesh fabric. The material balanced soft touch feeling with airflow performance, helping reduce heat and moisture buildup during newborn sleep.

Adjustable Height for Different Head Shapes
To improve shaping adaptability, we combined multiple 5mm and 9mm spacer mesh layers with hand-sewn partition construction. Around the pillow edge, TPE tube filling and three adjustable drawstring areas allowed different support height adjustments.

More Recognizable Product Details
To strengthen the overall product identity, the drawstrings and piping areas used customized LOGO printing details. We also added a dedicated washing bag, helping improve cleaning convenience and long-term daily usability for parents.

The pillow successfully solved overheating problems during newborn sleep and became one of the customer’s long-term stable-selling newborn support products.
